WASHINGTON D.C. – In light of the latest Bin-Laden video diatribe, Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (MI), Chairman of the House Republican Policy Committee, today expressed his disappointment but not his surprise Speaker Pelosi and Congressional Democrats have yet to withdraw their previous claims Iraq is not part of a the “real war on terror.” “I urge my Democratic colleagues to withdraw their mistaken statements Iraq is not part of the real war on terror. Even Bin-Laden disagrees with them.” Bin-Laden, who even liberals acknowledge has a passing acquaintance with the Middle East, in general, and terrorism, in particular, continually referenced the battles in Iraq and Afghanistan as part of Al-Qaeda’s real war against America. Congressional Democrats, however, continue to dispute Bin-Laden’s assertion and agree with Speaker Pelosi’s long-standing claim America must retreat from Iraq “so that we can focus more fully on the real war on terror, which is in Afghanistan.” Said McCotter: “Charitably, I think Speaker Pelosi remains frustrated Bin-Laden’s views on Iraq are not as malleable as those of House Democrats.” Regarding Bin-Laden’s ranting; McCotter believes much of the text was penned by American traitor Adam Gadahn: “This was clearly co-authored by someone who tailgated too many foreign cars and read too many Move.On bumper stickers or, tragically, did not know “The Collected Lectures of Noam Chomsky” had been down-loaded onto his I-Pod as a joke. Regardless, the world’s most notorious terrorist now sounds like another Leftist angered by the Democrats’ broken promises to retreat in the War on Terror and win the Global War on Warming.” As for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s failure to dispute Bin-Laden’s assertions Iraq is part of Al-Qaeda’s real war against America, McCotter had a succinct explanation: “Why? Senator Reid and Bin-Laden agree America has lost in Iraq.” Asked what he believes, McCotter reaffirmed his long-held position: “We will win our War for Freedom, because America’s devotion to liberty is stronger than Al-Qaeda’s devotion to death.” |
