Dems offer yet another “no-energy” energy bill

Democrats returned from their five-week summer vacation this week.  I was hoping they would listen to the cry of the American people and take up the American Energy Act, which will harness all types of American energy and lower prices at the pump.  However, they have proven once again, their interests lie with environmental groups rather than the anxious and frustrated American people.

In the two year since Democrats have taken over Congress, gas prices have risen 60 percent.  Now, the Highway Trust Fund, the fund that provides Texans with safe and less congested roads is going bankrupt because of the high price of gasoline.  Their recklessness has cost us our fuel, our food, our jobs, and now it is costing us our roads.  What is next?  Will the rising cost of gasoline cost our children quality education?  Will it cost our country its national and economical security?

Democrats have offered lots of rhetoric and have consistently pointed their fingers at Republicans.  They are wrong.  Republicans have an energy bill that will utilize every bit of American energy.  The American people overwhelmingly want a vote on this bill.  The only thing standing in the way of a solution is Speaker Pelosi.
