1 Postponed Suspension 

1) S. 35 - Black Hills National Cemetery Boundary Expansion Act  (PDF)

Sponsor: Sen. John Thune (R-SD) | Natural Resources Committee

Topline Summary: This bill transfers permanent jurisdiction of over 200 acres of undeveloped federal land adjacent to the Black Hills National Cemetery from the Bureau of Land Management to the Department of Veterans Affairs to expand the Cemetery which is rapidly running out of space.

1) H.R. 5698 - Protect and Serve Act of 2018 (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill allows for federal prosecution of individuals who knowingly assault a law enforcement officer causing serious bodily injury.

2) House Amendment to S. 2372 - VA MISSION Act of 2018 (PDF)

Sponsor: Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA) | Veterans Affairs Committee

Topline Summary: This bill strengthens and improves the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare system for the benefit of the nation’s veterans. The bill consolidates VA’s multiple community care programs and authorities and provides further funding for the Choice Program. 

3) H.R. 2 - Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018 (PDF)

Sponsor: Rep. Michael Conaway (R-TX) | Agriculture Committee

Topline Summary: This bill amends and extends major programs for income support, food and nutrition, land conservation, trade promotion, rural development, research, forestry, horticulture, and other miscellaneous programs administered by the Department of Agriculture (USDA) for five years through 2023. The bill is budget neutral and $112 billion below baseline funding.
