Topline Summary: This bill requires the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish an Intelligence Rotational Assignment Program as part of the Rotation Program included in the Homeland Security Act of 2002.

3) H.R. 2427 - Pathways to Improving Homeland Security At the Local Level Act, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill directs the Assistant Secretary for State and Local Law Enforcement to produce and disseminate an annual catalog that summarizes opportunities for training, publications, programs, and services available to non-Federal law enforcement agencies from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and disseminate it to State and local law enforcement entities within 30 days of production by posting it on the Department’s website and submitting the catalog to Congress.

4) H.R. 2470 - Homeland Threat Assessment Act (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Secretary, acting through the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, to submit an annual assessment of the terrorist threat to the homeland. The Under Secretary is directed to use departmental information, including component information and information provided through State and major urban area fusion centers, to conduct the assessment.

5) H.R. 2468 - Unifying DHS Intelligence Enterprise Act, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Secretary to develop and disseminate a written Department-wide guidance regarding the processing analysis, production, and dissemination of homeland security information and terrorism information. 

6) H.R. 2433 - Homeland Security Assessment of Terrorists Use of Virtual Currencies Act (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis to assess the threat posed by the use of virtual currencies to support designated foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs), and disseminate the assessment to State, local, and tribal law enforcement officials via the National Network of Fusion Centers.

7) H.R. 2443 -Department of Homeland Security Classified Facility Inventory Act, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Chief Security Officer of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to maintain and update an inventory of all facilities certified by DHS to host infrastructure or systems classified above the Secret level, and may share part of all of the inventory in accordance with standard information sharing procedures and policies with appropriate Departmental and State and local personnel.

8) H.R. 2454 - Department of Homeland Security Data Framework Act of 2017, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to develop a data framework to integrate existing DHS datasets and systems within various components and offices for access by authorized personnel.

9) H.R. 2442 - FIRST State and Local Law Enforcement Act, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Department of Homeland Security Office for State and Local Law Enforcement (OSLLE) to provide an annual report on their activities for the next five years, including (1) details of the efforts of the office to coordinate with and improve information sharing between DHS component agencies, and State, local, and tribal law enforcement; and (2) a review of efforts made to improve information sharing through the DHS Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN).

10) H.R. 2471 - TRACER Act, as amended (PDF)

Topline Summary: This bill directs the Secretary of Homeland Security, in coordination with the Attorney General, to share with State, local, and regional fusion centers, as well as other appropriate law enforcement, information of certain individuals convicted of a Federal crime of terrorism.

11) H.R. 931 - Firefighter Cancer Registry Act of 2017, as amended (PDF)

Sponsor: Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) | Energy and Commerce Committee

Topline Summary: This bill requires the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to develop and maintain a registry to collect data regarding the incidence of cancer in firefighters.

12) H.R. 2611 - Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site Boundary Modification Act (PDF)

Sponsor: Rep. French Hill (R-AR) | Natural Resources Committee

Topline Summary: This bill adjusts the boundary of the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site in Arkansas to include seven residences on South Park Street in Little Rock.
